UPSC SCRA Exam 2016 Notification

Union Public Service Commission soon disclosed the application form for UPSC SCRA Exam 2016 for filling up various vacancies of Special Class Railway Apprentices. Interested candidates who are eligible for the exam, they must check the SCRA Online Application Form Date & apply online on or before the last date. 

The Union Public Service Commission organized this well-known SCRA (Special Class Railway Apprentice) examination for the selection of applicants as Special Class Railway Apprentices in varied Mechanical Department of Indian Railway.

Reason behind Conducting this Examination:

After the selection procedure is done for the relevant examination all the qualified applicants will undergo 4 years training period in Mechanical Engineering under the re-known institute MOU with BIT Mesra, Ranchi. Whenever the applicants successfully completed its 4 years training period, & get the Bachelors of engineering degree in Mechanical engineering he will directly join IRSME.

Educational Qualification:

• Candidates should passed 12th standard with academic records i.e. 1st or 2nd division from board approved by Government of India and most important thing aspirants must have Mathematics and minimum one subject from Physics and Chemistry in 12th.
• Graduates aspirants with Mathematics and minimum one subject from Physics and Chemistry as their degree papers may also apply.
• If any candidate cleared 1st year exam under 3 years degree course or 1st exam of 3 years diploma course in rural services of National Council for Rural Higher Education or 3rd year exam for promotion to 4th year of 4 year BA/B.Sc (evening college) course of Madras University with Mathematics and minimum 1 subject among Physics and Chemistry they should also register their name.
• Such contenders who recently, cleared pre-engineering exam with 1st or 2nd division approved by Government of India they also become eligible.
• Those who cleared pre-professional/ pre-technological exam with 1st or 2nd division with Mathematics and minimum 1 subjects among Physics and Chemistry they also eligible to apply against this examination.
• Or candidates have cleared 1st year exam under 5 year engineering degree course of a university.

Nationality

• Applicants applying for SCRA examination should be either-
• An Indian Citizen.
• A subject of Nepal OR
• A subject of Bhutan OR
• A Tibetan refugee came to India before 1st January 1962 to become permanent citizen of India.
• A person from Indian origin migrated from Burma, East African countries of Kenya, United Republic of Tanzania, Malawi, Ethiopia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Zambia, Zaire, and Vietnam to become permanent citizen of India.

Note: Provided that a contender who belongs to categories 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th mentioned above will be a person in whose favour the government of India has issued a certificate of eligibility.

Application Fee:

• Rs. 100/- has to be paid by candidates through challan or Net banking as an application fee, through any branch of State Bank of India.
• SC/ST/Female/PH Candidates are free from the payment of fee.

Selection Process:

As we know this is a well-known written exam hence, all such applicants who qualify this test should move to personal interview procedure which will be conducted by organization to select talented candidates.

The examination consists of Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, English Language, General Knowledge and Psychological test (Mental Ability.

• On the same page choose the correct link to apply online.
• Fill the Part I Registration properly; Make the payment of application fee and then move on to the Part II Registration.
• Here you have to upload the scanned passport size photograph and signature.
• After filling form in correct manner submit the form within given time.
